Coordinator Qualifications Requirement

Coordinator Responsibilities

Coordinators are responsible for role modelling Camp Australia policies and guiding children’s growth in service every day. Your responsibilities include:

  • Provide a safe OSHC service for staff and children in an all-inclusive professional team environment
  • Maintain well-organised schedules to ensure child safety and supervision
  • Supervise other educators, ensuring they understand and perform in-service responsibilities
  • Design and implement engaging weekly programs and reflection journals
  • Communicate and advocate company networking opportunities and professional development

Coordinator Duties

Prior to session

  • Print child attendance rolls
  • Confirm roster and staff assisting
  • Check phone messages
  • Assistants arrive to commence the day
  • Brief assistants on their roles and responsibilities for the session
  • Preparation of healthy snacks
  • Check safety of room and set up
  • Ensure activities are setup ready for children to arrive.

During Session

  • Greet children and sign in
  • Food is served
  • Activities and experiences discussed with children to gain their interest and input for the daily program
  • Participate in activities with children and supervise Assistants
  • Commence pack up and ensure all children are actively supervised
  • Children leave the service safely with an approved carer
