We’re seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in a critical role responsible for leading the end-to-end processing of payroll for our diverse, national workforce. You’ll ensure accuracy, compliance, and a seamless experience for our employees while supporting a large, casual, multi-site team through the timely and accurate delivery of our pay cycle.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Own the full payroll process (fortnightly and monthly) for employees across various employment types and jurisdictions
• Interpret awards and agreements, especially the Children’s Services Award
• Ensure compliance with legislation including PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, STP, NES and Fair Work
• Manage payroll tax, leave accruals, entitlements, and EOFY reconciliations
• Collaborate closely with Finance and People & Culture teams
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert during our payroll platform transformation -from configuration to go-live support

ABOUT YOU

• 3+ years of experience in end-to-end payroll, including award-based environments
• Experience with Single Touch Payroll (STP)
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation & the Children’s Services Award 2010
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (HR3 experience desirable)
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
